I swore I’d never get on Facebook, because I didn’t need another huge time suck in my life; then, I self-published my first novel as an e-book the week before Memorial Day. All the self-publishing experts are in agreement that an author, whether self-published or traditionally published, has to have an online presence. They’re the experts, so who am I to argue? I did a free online tutorial about Facebook and took the plunge. A mere month later I have a website and a blog. If I’m not careful, I’ll be tweeting before long! Whatever that is.
Only kidding – I know what it is. I think.
I’m going to use this space to write about whatever comes to mind, including but not limited to, the progress of this new career of mine. I’m learning as I go and I want a record of it. Maybe others who are considering self-publishing will find it helpful, or at the very least, interesting. And maybe readers might enjoy getting an inside look at how it all works. I’d love to get input from other authors and readers out there in cyberspace, so feel free to drop me a line sometime.
Now go get a cup of coffee or tea or a beer – whatever your poison. I’ll be right back.
