The flags on the U.S.S. Dolphin waved frantically as the Cobra P-29 helicopter carrying Ray Sting came in. As the helicopter landed the Secret Agent ran to Captain Kern’s quarters. Inside, he was greeted warmly by Captain Kern.
“Glad to see you,” said Captain Kern.
“Glad to see you too,” said Ray as he shook Captain Kern’s hand. “Enough greetings though, let’s get down to business. What is it this time? Vanishing planes, spies, or boats that mysteriously disappear?”
“No, Captain Kern said sullenly, “some plans called Sub-m.a.r.i.n.e . Sub-m.a.r.i.n.e, sub for short, has been stolen by a government spy we call Myers. Myers, with sub, will be able to build a highly devised weapon which could almost destroy the world on his submarine. Your job is to stop him at any cost. All military service is at your disposal.”
“Is there any news on where he was last seen?” asked Ray.
“Yes,” answered Captain Kern, “he was last seen off the coasts of Shanghai, China.”
“I’ll do my best,” said Ray, as he walked out the door. As he turned, he saw a figure run around the corner. Ray, always being suspicious, took up pursuit after the figure.
Every second Ray gained on the figure. When Ray was about two feet from the figure, the figure turned around and thrust his fist at Ray. Ray blocked the Chinese man’s fist and socked him in the jaw. The Chinese man sprawled over the rail of the aircraft carrier. Ray dived in after him.
The Chinese man swam out to open sea. Ray gained on him fast. Then, suddenly, from the water rose a towering cone! It was a submarine!
Ray swam frantically to overpower the Chinese man before he could reach the sub. Too late! The Chinese man dragged himself upon the sub, climbed the tower ladder, and was gone down the hatch.
Ray pulled himself aboard the sub seconds after the Chinese man had disappeared. He climbed up the tower. There at the top of the tower waiting for him were six muscular Chinese men!
