When I bought my first set of ISBN numbers, I didn't know anything. It was for my son's first book he wrote when he was 6 and I had it published. I bought 10 copies of his book to keep and for friends and family. I thought you had to pay for each book for an ISBN number...I paid $1000 for 10 ISBN when I thought I was buy one for 10 books. Lesson Learned.
Now as an author, I always have ISBN in stock, to pull from as needed. However, for the person that still wants that single ISBN, it can cost an arm and a leg. As I always have them in stock, and seek only to recoup my efforts, I am listing reselling these for $40 each.
